
Ms. Herbert completed her degree in clinical psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California. As a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as an addiction specialist, Victoria has worked extensively in the behavioral health field assisting children, adolescents, men and women heal from maladaptive behaviors. Her studies in child development and family systems have led Victoria to seek opportunities to use her skills and gifts to strengthen individuals, couples, and families. “Early intervention, and support helps a child become a healthy, and balanced adult.”
As a therapist, interventionist, and recovery specialist, Victoria has experience helping individuals and families who have been affected by addiction, mental-health, and physical health challenges, to achieve recovery and implement and maintain healthy habits that will serve their greater well-being. In her role as a therapist Victoria has trained in Narrative Therapy, DBT, EMDR, and Wellbriety, a culturally based teaching from indigenous people, for people of all backgrounds. As a recovery specialist and companion, she works compassionately with clients, and as appropriate, serves as a client liaison with other clinical, health and wellness providers. Specifically, helping clients navigate weekly, daily, or even moment-by-moment challenges they inevitably face during the various phases of healing. This often includes working with the families and loved ones of clients, fostering communication, connection and a greater chance for continued sobriety and wellness.
